Second Bedroom: The guest bedroom is thoughtfully furnished, boasting a queen-sized bed, air conditioning, a fan, and a luggage rack. The nightstands come with a bottle of water and a soothing lavender pillow mist to ensure a tranquil experience. Outdoor Space: Get ready to make the most of the great outdoors! Our front deck is a front-row seat to nature's show, with stunning mountain and valley views. Backstage, you'll find two private decks: one for dining under the stars, and another for lounging in the sun. And remember, you're not alone! Keep an eye out for our furry and feathered friends—blue jays, small birds, and chipmunks love to stop by for a snack and a show. The Baldwin Lake area is located at the extreme east end of the Big Bear Lake Valley, east of Big Bear City. Historic Baldwin Lake, for which the area takes its name, is a natural shallow “lake” bed, which is normally dry. Some years, after a heavy winter or summer rains, the lake will hold water, and its level of fullness is judged by old-timers as “how far up the rock” the water is – referring to a large boulder in the lake at the north end. The lake was named for local mining legend Elias Jackson “Lucky” Baldwin, who mined the Holcomb Valley area in the 1800’s, and a skeleton of one of his mining sites still overlooks the lake named for him. The area is popular for its “rural” feel, as well as being host to acreage parcels suitable for equestrian and ranch-style living. Homes in the Baldwin Lake area range from very affordable small cabins and manufactured homes, to large half-million dollar custom homes on the ranch properties. Baldwin Lake is bordered on two sides by State Highway 18 leading to Lucerne Valley and the Victorville/Apple Valley/Barstow areas. Because of its proximity to the high desert, the landscape is somewhat different from other areas in the Valley, with vegetation including pinion, juniper and sage. Due to the location and winter weather patterns, the area also typically receives less snowfall than those areas at the west of the Valley. Guests will need a car to access the home. This home is located on a private gravel road and 4x4 or AWD is highly recommended in winter. Even with a snowplow. Max Occupancy: 6 Max Car Limit: 2 Parking Instructions: Park in the driveway No pets allowed and any pets brought without authorization will result in an eviction and damage fees. Wall AC units only located in bedrooms. Entertainment is available at the property: Corn Hole, games & puzzles. Amenities for Babies and/or young children: Pack 'Play, highchair, plates and games. The corn hole set is stored in the laundry room, tucked to the left of the washer. Games and puzzles can be found in the console beneath the TV. Amenities worth mentioning: • Bright, modern interiors that invite relaxation and are perfect for entertaining. • A fully equipped kitchen, ideal for preparing delicious home-cooked meals. • A dedicated coffee station to kickstart your mornings with ease. • High-speed WiFi for work, streaming, or staying connected. • Two beautifully appointed bedroom suites with plush king and queen beds, plus built-in bunk beds for extra guests or family fun. • A front deck with cozy seating, perfect for sipping your morning coffee while enjoying breathtaking views. • A private backyard retreat featuring a Jacuzzi, BBQ area, and two decks: one for al fresco dining and another with stunning mountain and lake views. • Convenient access to multiple trails, including the iconic Pacific Crest Trail, for hiking and nature adventures.
