I acknowledge that I made an error by not including infants in the guest count. Once informed, I immediately worked with Airbnb Support and agreed the additional guests would leave to comply with the reservation.Despite resolving the issue, the host’s conduct was excessive. Communication became constant and intrusive, and it appeared we were being continuously monitored via exterior cameras, as messages were sent within minutes of any activity. When the extra guests returned from skiing to gather belongings, the host repeatedly contacted us and would not allow reasonable time for them to prepare and leave. My daughters briefly stopped by to visit and were not allowed inside, even temporarily, under the guest policy. A dog remained on the public street and never entered the property, yet the host escalated the matter.Upon arrival, we found stained sheets and non-working toilets. Reporting this resulted in accusations rather than resolution. Overall, the stay felt hostile and unwelcoming

Great cabin. Nice location. A walk around the neighborhood is indeed a hike. The trail is too close to pass up. So we checked it out. Lovely hike. Many beautiful trees. Saw a woodpecker, doing woodpecker business. Those birds are so cool! Being 15ish minutes from downtown is nice, too. My kid loves the Teddy Bear Cafe. The home is a beautiful space. A hot tub is a treat after a hike. We hope to return and spend more time exploring Big Bear and enjoying the home.
